Adelante provides vocational training services and housing for people with psychiatric disabilities, family and youth services, nutrition programs for the elderly and support and financial literacy training for first time homebuyers.
Adelante strives to inspire forward movement in the lives of the diverse people of the community, by promoting a deeper understanding and respect for cultural differences and similarities; by empowering young people to realize their unlimited potential; and by protecting our seniors, and those with special needs, while improving their quality of life.

The School-Business Partnerships of Long Island, Inc. (SBPLI) is producing the annual awards gala honoring sixty individuals over the age of sixty who have made positive, tangible contributions to making Long Island the great community that it is today.
There are many ways to get involved with the awards gala. Sponsorships, Interactive Journal Ad opportunities, and tickets are available.
Proceeds raised from the gala will benefit SBPLI’s FIRST Robotics and Lego League competition programs. These national programs challenge teams of students and mentors while teaching them teamwork, confidence, leadership, and many other work skills. |
