Lisa's Story

Lisa Gordon is the Vice President at HJMT COMMUNICATIONS, LLC and currently manages our Rochester office location. In this role, she is responsible for overseeing publicity and social media accounts as well as new business development in the Upstate/Western New York region. Prior to this position, Lisa was a Senior Account Executive at the firm.

Lisa spends much of her day coordinating with the media, writing and editing press releases and feature stories and brainstorming public relations strategies for HJMT’s clients. In addition, she conducts interviews, researches possible story ideas and develops marketing and social media campaigns. Lisa’s most recent placements have been in the Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, BusinessWeek and First for Women Magazine and on Good Morning America, New York Nightly News, The Weather Channel and Good Day New York, to name a few!
 
Lisa comes to HJMT with a strong background in communications. Prior to HJMT, she was employed at Nassau Country Club where she helped oversee marketing initiatives and special events for the club. She also worked for Homewood Suites by Hilton and received the Spirit of Pride Award for her excellence in customer service.
 
Since 2008, Lisa acts as the Marketing Chair for the American Cancer Society’s Fairport Relay for Life Executive Planning Committee and also donates her time and skills to Melissa’s Living Legacy and RocTwestival. She graduated from S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Magazine Journalism.
