LIBN Golf Outing raises more than $50,000
On Monday, August 14 more than 100 business leaders enjoyed a full day of networking and playing golf at beautiful Garden City Country Club. Following the outing, guests mixed and mingled during a grand reception with awards, auction prizes and entertainment by Jackie "The Joke Man" Martling, former comical force behind the Howard Stern Show. The outing helped raise more than $50,000.

New Faces at HJMT
The firm recently hired three new employees to join its growing staff. Lisa Comstock and Timothy Tripp, both account executives, come to HJMT with experience in public relations and event planning. Jennifer Chory, a Hofstra University student, was hired to help in all aspects of HJMT’s three divisions.

HJMT organizes successful Corporate Picnic
To increase employee involvement and encourage team building for its nearly 50 staff members, HJMT coordinated Elite FoodService Equipment Co., Inc’s entire picnic, including planning and implementation of events, development of logistics and point system, ordering of giveaways and props, and organization of team rosters. Staff and their families enjoyed relay races, company trivia and a fun game of softball.

Design and Publicity department receives international acclaim
The Communicator Awards, an international awards program recognizing public relations firms, recently honored HJMT with two awards for its design and copy of the Girl Scouts of Nassau County Camp Brochure, as well its editorial placement of the NY Juggernaut in the New York Times.

Special Events department expands with new services
Looking to throw a corporate event or planning wedding? With its more than 10 years experience in event planning, HJMT is launching its wedding and party planning sector to serve a broader array of potential clients. If you want to have your office party or private party in a special space, consider 1025 Old Country Road in either the atrium or the rooftop! The rooftop has a beautiful view of Nassau County. HJMT breaking the mold
After relocating to a larger office space less than a year ago that is more centrally located to clients and that offers more room for staff, HJMT recently acquired a second office. Now with nearly 3,000 square feet, the two conjoining offices has been an effective way to better serve clients and staff.

Staff takes strides for charity
On Sunday, June 11, nearly 10 HJMT employees walked 5K for the Helen Keller National Center. The staff walked up and down hills along the back roads of Sands Point to show their support for an organization that positively affects the social, physical and emotional change for people who are deaf or blind.

HJMT attends training to better serve clients
Hilary Topper, President/CEO is committed to training and staff development and recently hired the Sandler Sales Institute to give the staff pointers on pitching the media and getting more sponsorships.

Senior standouts
Elisa Gerber was recently promoted to Senior Graphic Designer and Account Executive. Her recent accomplishments include designing the Parameter (fashion designer) logo and award winning Girl Scouts Camp Brochure. Angela Ruggiero was recently promoted to Senior Account Executive. She has been with the firm for two years and has placed many clients on Eyewitness News, RNN, News12, Good Day NY, Newsday, Long Island Business News and many more! Lori Alexy was promoted to Senior Account Executive in the Special Events division. She just ran a successful Asthma Walk for the American Lung Association where it raised nearly $50,000 and a Capital Forum for the Long Island Capital Alliance.

HJMT school newsletter "informative"
As part of its commitment to the school districts HJMT represents, community outreach is a top priority. Through its collateral material to the community such as school bulletins and newsletters, HJMT communicates school news to increase community awareness and support. In the May 5th issue of the Illustrated News, an Anton Publication, a New Hyde Park resident included a Letter to the Editor, entitled, “Sewanhaka Scoop is Informative!” The resident wrote how the publication was well-organized, easy to understand and extremely readable. He suggests that more budget newsletters have the look and feel of the Sewanhaka Scoop!

TOPPER TO RECEIVE TWO AWARDS IN ONE WEEK...
On Tuesday, May 9, Hilary JM Topper, President & CEO, will be honored by Temple Emanu-El of Long Beach as Woman of the Year and on Thursday, May 11, she will receive the Achiever’s Award for Marketing/Communications presented by the Long Island Center for Business and Professional Women. Both of these awards demonstrate Ms. Topper’s success as a professional businesswoman and dedicated community advocate. The Long Island Center for Business and Professional Women annual Achiever’s Award celebrates an honoree who has made significant contributions to her field and the broader community. The Temple’s Woman of the Year Award is presented to one individual that has made a major impact on the community.

TOPPER ON THE AIRWAVES...
Ms. Topper was recently interviewed on WLIE-AM Business Talk with Peter Klein. She was asked to be on the show to discuss her success as a small business owner and the growth of her company over the last 14 years. With 20 years experience in public relations and in the non profit sectors, Topper described the steps she has taken through her career and personal life to get her where she is today.

Galvani NAMED 40 UNDER 40 BY MAJOR BUSINESS PUBLICATION
Kristie L. Galvani was named one of Long Island´s 40 business people under the age of 40 who have excelled in their chosen area of expertise. She was honored by Long Island Business News at the 40 under 40 awards breakfast at the Crest Hollow Country Club in Woodbury. As Vice President of HJMT COMMUNICATIONS, Ms. Galvani supervises staff, coordinates with clients and gets involved in the day to day management of the business.

2006 Cocktail Reception
Black and white was the theme at HJMT COMMUNICATIONS LLC´s ribbon cutting cocktail reception held on January 5. More than 150 friends, colleagues and clients of HJMT visited the new home of HJMT COMMUNICATIONS, LLC. Catered by Mark Of Excellence, guests were presented with unique trays of caramelized chocolate truffles, Asian stir fry with traditional chop sticks, cigar rolled chicken patties, and sorbet delights. In addition, entertainment was provided by Marken Music. The staff of HJMT would like to acknowledge all of their guests for the ongoing relationships that have grown throughout the years. To a happy and successful 2006!
