HJMT SWEEPS COMMUNICATOR AWARDS HJMT COMMUNICATIONS, LLC has been honored with two awards from the Communicator Awards, an international awards competition that recognizes outstanding work in the communications field. HJMT was awarded an "Award of Distinction" for an outstanding publicity campaign conducted for Island 94.3 FM and an "Honorable Mention" for the Girl Scouts of Nassau County's 2002 Annual Report.
TOPPER HONORED BY LONG ISLAND BUSINESS NEWS Hilary Topper, President and CEO of HJMT COMMUNICATIONS, LLC was recently named one of Long Island's 50 most influential women by Long Island Business News. The awards dinner will be held on May 18th at the Crest Hollow Country Club.
PRESIDENT TOPPER? In preparation for future potential clients in the political realm, Hilary Topper recently attended a political training seminar given by Emily’s List, an organization designed to train capable women to run for elected office. Other attendees included Kristie Koppe and Jennifer Rubin, Account Supervisor and Senior Account Executive at HJMT COMMUNICATIONS, and women from across the state of New York who are running for office, running campaigns or thinking about doing so in the future.
HJMT AWARDED FOR OUTSTANDING SERVICE Girl Scouts of Nassau County honored HJMT COMMUNICATIONS, LLC with the Outstanding Service and Support Award. The firm was honored alongside other dedicated adult volunteers at the Girl Scouts of Nassau County's 12th Annual Recognition's Dinner. The dinner took place on Wednesday, November 19 at the Chateau Briand Restaurant in Carle Place.
PROMOTIONS FOR HJMT SENIOR STAFF HJMT promoted Elisa Gerber and Jennifer Rubin. Ms. Gerber was promoted from Graphics Coordinator to Graphic Designer and Ms. Rubin was promoted from Account Executive to Senior Account Executive. Ms. Gerber's responsibilities include designing annual reports, brochures, flyers, invitations, logos and letterhead and both display and classified advertisements. As Senior Account Executive, Ms. Rubin writes and edits press releases, copy for promotional materials and advertising. She also conducts media coordination, booking of seminars and speaking engagements, research and story development.
MAKING DREAMS COME TRUE The allure of radio was very enchanting for Eric Weiss, a Plainview resident and Elite Food Services President. His whole life he dreamt of having his voice heard over the air-waves. At HJMT's "Golf to Give" Charity Golf Outing he got the opportunity to fulfill this life-long ambition. At the silent auction during the "Golf to Give" reception, Mr. Weiss placed the winning bid for the chance to be "DJ for a Day" on B103 during "the Wiseman's" show. Mr. Weiss ruled the waves as the B103 DJ on Monday, August 11.
July 2, 2003 - HJMT COMMUNICATIONS, LLC's first Golf to Give Charity Golf Outing took place at the Lido Golf Club in Lido Beach on July 1st. The event was a huge success. It was a beautiful day of golf and networking, plus HJMT will donate all of the proceeds to the American Lung Association of Nassau-Suffolk and the Girl Scouts of Nassau County. HJMT COMMUNICATIONS, LLC was awarded for an outstanding placement in the March 2003 issue of Fitness Magazine.
May 29, 2003 -- Hilary JM Topper, was recently honored with the "Acheivement in Communications Award" by the International Association of Business Communicators of Long Island (IABC-LI). The award is given to someone who has excelled in his or her business as well as their contribution to the community. · Jennifer Rubin joins the HJMT team as an account executive. Jennifer previously wrote for the Binghamton Press and Sun Bulletin.
TOPPER NAMED ONE OF 90 WOMEN FOR 90 YEARS Long Beach, NY November 5, 2002 - Hilary JM Topper, MPA, President/CEO of HJMT COMMUNICATIONS, LLC, the full-service public relations, marketing and advertising agency in Long Beach was named one of 90 women for 90 years in celebration of the 90th Anniversary of Girl Scouting.
Her name was added to the Honor Roll, which was read at the Girl Scouts of Nassau County, Inc. 16th Annual Corporate Luncheon on October 29th. Many well-respected Long Island women appeared on the list, including All My Children actress Susan Lucci, Congresswoman Carolyn McCarthy, and New York State’s First Lady Libby Pataki. "It was wonderful to be honored among such accomplished women," Ms. Topper commented.
Ten years ago Ms. Topper founded HJMT COMMUNICATIONS, LLC. Now the firm services more than a dozen clients in highly diversified industries. Ms. Topper is extremely committed to the community and has donated her time and resources to many charitable organizations, including the Girl Scouts of Nassau County. Most recently she moderated a seminar entitled "How to Get Your Troops/Group Publicity," held at Hofstra University.
HJMT COMMUNICATIONS, LLC concentrates on developing strategic marketing plans, producing promotional materials, getting national and local publicity, coordinating special events and seminars, conducting direct mail campaigns and producing advertising that gets results.
The HJMT Walkers raise over $1,000 for the American Lung Association of Nassau-Suffolk by participating in the first annual "Blow the Whistle on Asthma" 5K walk. Kristie Koppe was the team captain.
HJMT hires Elisa Gerber to assist in expanding the creative and design division. HJMT launches HJMT Design.
Women's Own Magazine quoted Hilary Topper, CEO of HJMT, in the September 2002 issue career section.
HJMT Communications signs on as a major sponsor of the Executive Women's Golf Association - Long Island Chapter.
